Refugee & Migrant Technical Assistance Center

Southwest Key Programs is proud to announce the award of a Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) grant to launch the first-of-its kind Refugee & Migrant Technical Assistance Center, or RMTAC in the United States!

RMTAC’s purpose is to grow the capacity of healthcare providers and organizations that serve refugees and migrant people in the U.S. RMTAC will provide learning opportunities, training, and technical assistance, including clinical consultation; interactive online learning modules; learning communities; targeted Technical Assistance and coaching; online educational materials and resources that are culturally competent, language-relevant, resiliency focused, and trauma-informed.

Southwest Key has been on the frontline of providing around-the-clock care for Unaccompanied Children as a contractor for the Office of Refugee Resettlement for over 20 years. We are taking our collective experience in serving this vulnerable population and will work with providers who provide direct service to refugees and migrants to enhance their skillset to serve this vulnerable population.

As a provider, you can utilize RMTAC to request technical assistance and case consultation, connect and learn from national experts, and access resources and additional support to better serve refugees and migrant communities.

If you are a health and human services professional that provides care and service to refugees and migrants, and would like to shape and inform the Refugee & Migrant Technical Assistance Center’s educational catalog, please complete the needs assessment HERE
