The Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Program (JJAEP) is a therapeutic, educational setting that serves adolescents between the ages of ten (10) to seventeen (17) who have been expelled from their local school districts. The JJAEP provides daily instruction, supervision, and educational support to students, providing them with the tools and knowledge needed to make positive changes in their lives.

Students participate in online and direct teach classes, small group sessions, and individualized learning situations. The academic component encompasses a number of educational options including:  

  • Basic academic skills
  • High school completion 
  • Special education 
  • Academic credit recovery  
  • GED completion
  • Special education supports
  • Prevocational training and career exploration 
  • Counseling and skills based groups
